When did you start putting stretch mark cream on?

Hi all just a quick Question of when did you start putting bio oil or stretch mark cream on into your pregnancy?

I mean when does the skin start to stretch? When did you start putting stretch mark cream on?
I started the second we saw 2 pink lines! Even in the beginning when you're not ';showing';, your body is still starting to grow and therefore your skin gets all dry and itchy. I don't know if it truly ';works'; or not, but it feels great and at least makes me feel in my mind that I'm doing something to ';help'; my body! :) Good luck and congrats! When did you start putting stretch mark cream on?
I started putting cream the moment I found out I was pregnant. I am happy to say that I did not get any stretchmarks in my first pregnancy now I'm pregnant with my second child (36 wks) and only have a few stretch marks on my legs but nothing in my breast or stomach.

The cream I use is ';A perfect world'; by Origins. I recommended this cream to my friend when she was pregnant, she did not like the smell but was happy with the results.
the sooner the better. I bought St.Ives Elastic (about 6 bucks at walmart) for the early part of my pregnancy, it helps your skin stretch easier, so far it has worked really good! I also put in Palmer's bathing oil for stretchmarks (about 12 bucks) in my bath, it really help moisturize your skin which is really important when pregnant. Im 29 weeks and dint have any stretch marks, but they also say its in part to genetics (but my mom has TONS) Try not to gain weight so fast, make it a slow steady process. Oh and you will know when your stretching b/c your skin will start to itch...whatever you do don't scratch it!

good luck and congrats!
you can get stretch marks straight away so its probably best to start using it straight away to minimise your chances although it wont prevent them 100%, sometimes cream doesnt help it depends on your skin. i didnt start using anything for a few months as my skin already seemed quite stretchy but i used cocoa butter and it definately made my skin stretchier and i didnt get a single stretch mark, i didnt even use it that often maybe every few days for a couple of months.
Stretchies are not preventable because they are scarring of your middle layer of skin. A lot of women get lucky and don't get them and some just get them. Women put creams on super early. Also, do not go out and buy tons and tons of different creams because it would just be a waste. I read up on it in one of my baby magazines. Good luck. If you drink a lot of water it helps keep your body moisturized and helps your body not get a lot of stretchies.
okay stretch marks aren't hereditary as my mum is covered in them most of which are done by me and i was her first and with my first child i got none it is all to do with how much elasticity is in your skin only advise i can give you is to rub baby oil on your stomach after you get out of the bath or the shower this will stop your skin from drying out... hopefully you dont get any good luck
start as soon as you find out you are pregnant. it doesn't make much of a difference though im afraid, everyone has different skin elasticity so whether you get them or not is 50/50. i never used cream and got none, my friend used it from day 1 and still had them. however, it can make them less visible if you use a decent cream. hope that helps :-)
I started putting it on when my skin was feeling really tight! It was about 16 weeks I think. I'm only a slim girl and my stomach grew massive in a short space so I kept slapping it on every time my skin hurt! But I would keep putting it on everyday - that's what you are meant to do!
Im 14 weeks and have just started using it. I have a really good Palmers Coco Butter Oil which is really nice and moisturizes really well.
I would start as soon as possible. Strech Mark cream is only to help prevent them. It does not guarantee you will not get them.
I started putting cream on around 12 weeks. I kind of popped around 16 weeks and have been growing ever since. I put cream on every night before I go to bed, no stretch marks yet!
I put it on the minute I knew I was pregnant and good job I did as my son was over 25'; long and weighed 10lb. No stretch marks at all.
lazy me I started on week 13 or 14.
i started using it as soon as i started to notice my lil belly bump
