I have always liked Devonshire Cream with scones.

As for the poster above, if he/she cannot provide the answer on the Yahoo!Answers board, I doubt he/she is very serious. I am sure you can find a good recipe on AllRecipes.com or some other website like that.Do you a recipe for sweet Devonshire Cream?
(3 ounce) package cream cheese

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 pinch salt

1 cup heavy cream

What you do:

In a medium bowl, cream together cream cheese, sugar and salt. Beat in cream until stiff peaks form. Chill until serving.
4 ounces mascarpone

1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 or 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar

Zest of lemon or lime (optional)

Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and beat until the mixture holds its shape and looks like softly whipped cream. Use right away or cover and refrigerate the cream until serving time.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
yes i do
Unfortunately Devonsire cream is made by gently heating unpasturized full cream and when it stratifies in a thick creamy layer it is skimmed of, sweetened and cooled. You can not purchase unpasturized milk due to current laws. but a good substitution is to reduce heavy cream by 1/2 and mix with equal amount of sour cream, let sit out until thickened. sweeten to taste and refrigerate for upto 3 days....do so at your own risk (legal disclaimer)
